Visiting Students

Visiting students that are interested in rotating at The Mount Sinai Hospital and Elmhurst Hospital Center are encouraged to apply for this 1 month acting internship. Applications are taken through the Visiting Student Learning Opportunities (VSLO) portal at AAMC.org/VSLO.

Mount Sinai Morningside, and Mount Sinai West have their own application and selection process. See their websites and details on VSLO for additional information regarding these programs.

Visiting Electives Program for Students Underserved in Medicine (VEPSUM) Fellowship

We invite 4th year medical students (MD/DO) from different backgrounds including those who are economically disadvantaged and/or have limited access to high-quality early exposure rotations in medicine to gain access to clinical electives and experiences in residency training programs throughout the health system.  Sponsored by the Center for Multicultural and Community Affairs, VEPSUM offers four-week electives at the Mount Sinai Health System and its teaching affiliates in the Graduate Medical Education Consortium to a limited number of qualified fourth-year medical students.
