Trevor Pour, MD, serves as the Director for Undergraduate Medical Education for the Department of Emergency Medicine. He is the recipient of numerous faculty teaching awards at both the graduate and undergraduate level and is academically active and published in the fields of palliative care, pediatrics, emergency gynecology, health policy, and medical education.

Dr. Pour earned his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine and his undergraduate degree from Case Western Reserve University. He completed his residency training in Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai, including a year as chief resident. In addition to his clinical activity, which includes both adult and pediatric emergency medicine, Dr. Pour serves a number of other roles in the Mount Sinai Health System. Clinically, a portion of his clinical time is spent at a Mount Sinai affiliated critical-access IHS hospital in South Dakota. Within the Icahn School of Medicine, he is the module director for first-year Anatomy, the director for a third-year course on clinical skills, career development, and patient safety, and he oversees multiple student electives in emergency medicine. He also serves on the steering committees for the systemwide Evidence-Based Practice group and the Mount Sinai Hospital-based Difficult Airway Response Team (DART). Finally, he provides specialized sports medicine to athletes in New York City, both as a finish line physician at the New York City Marathon as well as a courtside player physician at the US Open.
