Sophia Spadafore, MD, is a Health Policy Fellow at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine, Icahn School of Medicine. She is an Emergency Medicine attending physician, working clinically at The Mount Sinai Hospital and Elmhurst Hospital Center in Queens. Dr. Spadafore attended medical school at University of Arizona College of Medicine Tucson and completed her Emergency Medicine residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Spadafore’s work focuses on the intersections of politics and policy, including how healthcare is accessed and financed, with an emphasis on global healthcare delivery systems.
