Judah Sueker, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine. As an educator, he co-leads an Emergency Medicine Residency-wide monthly case review, serves as an Associate Course Director for the ISSMS InFocus PSQI curriculum, and co-directs an EM residency scholarly track in Quality and Administration.

Dr. Sueker is also the newly appointed Medical Director of the Mount Sinai Hospital (MSH) Adult Emergency Department (ED) and Express Care. In this role, Dr. Sueker oversees clinical operations, quality, and patient experience in the MSH Adult ED and Express Care. He collaborates with other administrative, medical, and nursing directors throughout the Emergency Medicine Service Line on initiatives to integrate emergency care across the health system. Prior to this appointment, Dr. Sueker served as the Associate Medical Director and Director of Quality and Safety for the Department of Emergency Medicine at The Mount Sinai Hospital. He has been instrumental in the ED’s response to COVID-19, as well as the ongoing construction and patient flow process improvement efforts. He has helped to oversee much of the ED’s quality, regulatory, and survey readiness activities, developing close working relationships with leaders around the hospital and health system. Additionally, he serves as a Hospital Root Cause Analysis Chair and Co-Chair of the Hospital Sepsis Committee.

Dr. Sueker graduated from Harvard Medical School and completed his emergency medicine residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he served as Chief Resident. Prior to medical school, he worked in international infectious disease control efforts.
