Dr. David Fernandez is a second-year Medical Education and Simulation Fellow at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he also serves as an Instructor of Emergency Medicine. He completed his residency at the Northwell Zucker School of Medicine, distinguishing himself as Chief Resident in his final year. Dr. Fernandez is dedicated to advancing medical education, mentorship, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. His research interests lie in medical education, simulation medicine, and DEI programs.
