Dania Goodin, MD (her/she) is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and Assistant Director of Emergency Medicine Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Dr. Goodin joined the Department of Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2022, after completing residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital/Elmhurst.
During residency, she served as Chief Academic Resident, creating a social emergency medicine and health care disparities curriculum to run alongside the clinical curriculum, leading to increased resident exposure to external factors which impact patient care. Since then, as Assistant Director of Emergency Medicine Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Dr. Goodin has led efforts to further integrate and structure the residency curriculum, implement Unconscious Bias training, and support residency engagement events.
Dr. Goodin spent many years in London, England, informing her interest and passions in patient education, health literacy, and caring for diverse populations equitably and working to bridge the efforts through community engagement. Dr. Goodin is currently evaluating mechanisms to improve discharge education. Dr. Goodin graduated from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
