Mitch O’Meara, MD is a resident in the Mount Sinai and Elmhurst Hospital Emergency Medicine Residency Program. He grew up in West Des Moines, Iowa, and earned his degree in Human Physiology with a minor in American Sign Language and Deaf Culture from the University of Iowa before attending WashU School of Medicine in St. Louis. He is excited to continue his academic work at the intersection of critical care, end-of-life ethics, and medical education by shaping the way future physicians build connections with patients. He looks forward to training at one of the nation’s busiest emergency departments and caring for the diverse communities served by Mount Sinai and Elmhurst.
