Dr. Evan S. Leibner earned his MD from Penn State University, Milton Hershey School of Medicine in 2013, as well as his PhD in biomaterials chemistry. He completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at Stony Brook University Hospital in 2016, where he also served as Academic Chief Resident. Following this, he pursued a Surgical-Trauma Critical Care fellowship at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, completing it in 2018. After completing his EM and Critical Care training, Dr. Leibner pursued an academic position at The Mount Sinai Hospital, where he has focused his career in cardiac critical care, as well as medical education for the Emergency Medicine Residency.

Dr. Leibner is currently an Associate Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he serves as Co-Director of the Difficult Airway Response Team and Director of Simulation for the Institute for Critical Care Medicine. His professional interests include Emergency Critical Care/Resuscitation Care, complex airway management, and simulation for trainee education. Dr. Leibner has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, contributing significantly to the fields of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine.
