Dr. Amie Kim is dual board-certified in Sports Medicine and Emergency Medicine. She carries academic appointments as Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine, Physical Medicine Rehabilitation – Sports Medicine, and Medical Education at Mount Sinai Icahn School of Medicine and serves as Assistant Fellowship Director to the jointly supported ACGME-accredited Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship.

Dr. Kim currently works as a player’s physician for the NFL Jets in concussion and trauma evaluations. She travels year-round with the NBA for domestic and international medical coverage including USAB Olympic team, NBA Finals, All Star tournament, Global Games – Tokyo, and EAP development. She performs as a player’s physician for the annual US Open Tennis Tournament and in Elite athlete management for the TCS New York City Marathon.

Dr. Kim is uniquely positioned in multiple departments and believes interdisciplinary collaboration is the future of academic medicine. Her operational interests developed a patient navigation program from the emergency department into the ambulatory environment, that includes expedited access for all payer types. Her clinical interests include elite sports techniques in every patient population and building a concussion consortium as an unmet institutional need. She considers herself an educator above all, and expands platforms in operations, research, curriculum building, and elite sports medicine, while mentoring staff and trainees from diverse departments into shared clinical sites and sidelines.

Amie is enneagram 9 with interests in faith-based living, MBSR mindfulness, and 20k steps per day.
