Alan is a PGY-1 resident in the Mount Sinai and Elmhurst Hospital Emergency Medicine Residency Program. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Pennsylvania and his medical degree from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, volunteering with student-run clinics, mutual-aid groups, and other community organizations along the way.

Coming from a diverse background, Alan has long been drawn to work that bridges cultures and communities. He is passionate about caring for immigrants and trauma survivors, and is excited to keep learning from and growing alongside New York’s many communities throughout residency.
