| Emily Winters, MD, is an Emergency Medicine resident at the Mount Sinai and Elmhurst Hospital Emergency Medicine Residency Program. She earned her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where she was recognized with the Richard Furlong, MD Memorial / SAEM Medical Student Excellence in Emergency Medicine Award. During medical school, Dr. Winters led emergency preparedness initiatives through Miller’s DOCS program, teaching Stop the Bleed, hands-only CPR, and overdose response at health fairs and in the program’s free clinics. She has also worked as an AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS instructor. Her professional interests include medical education, ultrasound, critical care, harm reduction, and care for underserved populations. |
