Dr. Martina Lopez May is a current Emergency Medicine Resident Physician at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. She attended Cornell University before earning her MD from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. During medical school, she held several leadership roles at Mount Sinai’s student-run free clinic, where she became passionate about patient advocacy and improving access to care for underserved communities. Her clinical interests include critical care, quality improvement, and health equity. Outside of medicine, she enjoys distance running, baking, and exploring New York City’s comedy scene.
